MTG Hawke’s Bay provides curriculum-based LEOTC (Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom) programmes for primary, intermediate and secondary schools at the museum and around the inner city. Check out the primary and secondary pages for our current programmes, or contact us to tailor a programme to suit your teaching focus.

MTG Hawke’s Bay also encourages self-guided class visits. These visits are free, but must be pre-booked through our education team. Make a booking now!

Another education programme on offer at MTG Hawke’s Bay is Raranga Matihiko - Weaving Digital Futures. It's part of the Ministry of Education Digital Technologies for All Equity fund and delivers innovative digital technologies to those with limited digital learning opportunities, while increasing access to national and local exhibitions and collections. Learners from Decile 1-3 schools (Year 1-10) can co-create and curate their own learning using digital technologies. The solutions developed will be shared using a range of digital media. To find out if your school is eligible for the fully-funded programme, contact our educators.
