Century Theatre Events
The Century Theatre, built in 1977 as a concert chamber to commemorate Napier’s first century as a city, is the setting for the museum's performing arts, film and talks programme. From the creative team who brought you 2018's wild and wacky “The Marriage of Figaro” comes Wanderlust Opera’s lastest offering “Don Pasquale”.
In this comic opera by bel canto master Donizetti, a miserly bachelor gets more than he bargained for when he enters into an arranged marriage.
Performed with a new English libretto with a running time of 2 hours, this touring opera is a wonderful way to introduce newcomers to the genre and still satisfy opera lovers.
