Our exhibitions are drawn primarily from the Hawke's Bay Museum's Trust collection. Permanent exhibits on the 1931 earthquake and the region’s stunning Taonga Māori are supported by changing exhibitions in seven additional gallery spaces.

"Classics at the MTG" is presented by the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation.
Tickets go on sale 1 October 2018. Service charges apply.
Come along and hear performances from the Advanced Classics students of the 2019 New Zealand Singing School.
The NZ Singing School enables auditioned students aged 16 years and over to study intensively and perform publicly at a professional level. Students work with faculty of national and international acclaim, providing experiences they might not otherwise receive through their regular training.
A mixture of one-on-one and general tuition opportunities are provided, including masterclasses, vocal technique training, lectures, language coaching, ensemble singing & movement. Additionally, all students are involved in public performances for the duration of the Singing School.
Many students progress to higher study or international careers, acknowledging that the Singing School has been a turning point in their careers, helping them decide which genre they will focus on & whether they have the drive to commit to a professional singing career.
Friday 11 January, 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Restrictions: All Ages
