Welcome to our award-winning museum, home of the region's taonga and other treasures.
After a thorough review by Napier City Council to ensure that our risk assessments around vaccine pass requirements remain appropriate, visitors to MTG Hawke’s Bay will now require a My Vaccine Pass (or official medical exemption) for all those aged over 12 years and three months. This is to keep our community and staff as safe as possible during the challenges of increasing COVID-19 case numbers across our region.
This change will come into effect on Monday 14 February for the museum, and Monday 28 February for the Century Theatre.
When visiting us please continue to:
• Wear a face mask
• Scan in using the COVID tracer app (or use the manual recording system)
• Follow physical distancing guidelines
We will continue to review our decisions on vaccine passes and other safety measures regularly and make changes where it is appropriate. Thank you for your understanding.
