MTG Hawke’s Bay regularly hosts special interest groups. We can deliver tailored programmes to your group based on our rich collections and changing exhibition programme. All group visits need to be pre-booked. Please contact us to arrange your group visit.

Cruise Ship Visitors
MTG hosts a range of cruise ships visitors on pre-booked tours like the 1931 Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Exhibition. Ask your on-board tours booking office for tours that include the MTG Hawke’s Bay on their itineraries.
Cruise ship visitors who are not on a pre-booked tour will find us an easy walk across the road from the Soundshell and Napier i-SITE where the Transfer Shuttles drop you off in the city. Come on over and visit the fabulous exhibitions on display.
Coach Parking
Coaches and buses visiting the MTG Hawkes’ Bay may use the bus stop located on Marine Parade adjacent to the MTG Theatre entrance. Coaches and buses will need to relocate their vehicles for parking after dropping passengers off at this bus stop
Coach Parking is available at the following sites:
- The all day Public Carpark next to Marineland on Marine Parade (paid parking).
- The non-restricted parking areas north of Ocean Spa (free parking).
- The southern end of Marine Parade past the children's playground (free parking).
It is recommended that drivers carefully plan any passenger drops and bus parking requirements as it make take some time to effectively park and transit from a bus.
