We can support your performing arts, visual arts, creative writing or social history programme by facilitating class or student visits to our galleries. The stories, ideas and perspectives behind the artworks and historical objects and photographs on display at MTG offer rich sources of inspiration for students' creative projects or research.

Contact our educators to arrange a teachers' preview visit or to tailor a visit for your students.

Standard options:

  • Free self-guided class visit with a brief educator introduction in the gallery. We are happy to help you plan your self-guided class visits. All group visits must be pre-booked though our educators.
  • Come Alive: Social History, Come Alive: Drama or Come Alive: Visual Arts - MTG educator-led programmes with an introduction, gallery visit and drama activity to follow, focussed on an exhibition or exhibitions of your choice. (Student fee applies)
  • Talk to our educators about arranging free entry for individual or small groups of students visiting MTG for independent research.

Teachers can visit MTG free of charge any time by showing their teacher registration card.
